The short answer
Yes. From Uluwatu, Jimbaran, or Nusa Dua the drive to Ubud is about 1.5 to 2 hours in normal traffic. Warung Tumang Bali in Petulu offers an optional private shuttle at IDR 650.000 once per booking, not per person, and one shuttle covers a whole combo day. You can also use your own driver or an online car and meet the kitchen on site for free.

Pickup from Uluwatu, Jimbaran, and Nusa Dua
Yes. Guests staying in Uluwatu, Jimbaran, or Nusa Dua cook at Warung Tumang Bali in Petulu, near Ubud. There is an optional private shuttle from the Bukit: IDR 650.000 once per booking, not per person, and one shuttle covers a whole combo day.
The shuttle is optional. You can always use your own driver or an online car and meet us on site for free; the kitchen sends the exact pin with your confirmation.
How long the drive takes
Uluwatu, Jimbaran, and Nusa Dua to Ubud is about 1.5 to 2 hours in normal traffic, shorter early in the morning and longer in the afternoon peak. Most drivers take the Bali Mandara toll road, then head north past Sanur toward Ubud. Petulu is about 10 minutes beyond central Ubud.
Which session works from the Bukit
The 8:30am morning session is the only one with the Ubud market visit. From the Bukit it means a very early start, with lighter traffic on the way up and lunch at the kitchen. The kitchen confirms the pickup time when you book.
The 2:30pm afternoon session skips the market and ends in dinner at about 5:30pm, so you drive home in the evening. Pick it if a dawn start is not your holiday. Morning or afternoon compares the two.
Make the drive worth it
Two hours each way is a day trip, so plan it as one. If you book a combo day, one shuttle covers the whole day. Planning sights yourself? Monkey Forest and Tegallalang both fit around the class.
What to tell the kitchen
Send the hotel name and area, the session, the number of guests, and how you are getting there: shuttle, own driver, or online car. Groups stop at eight guests, and a private kitchen is IDR 700.000.
